Skills from Northeast India
Learn a skill. Go anywhere on the strength of it.
Kaamyo trains young people from India in language, a trade and workplace culture, so they can build careers abroad. Our first pathway is agriculture in Japan.
Pathways
Choose a skill, then a destination
We start with one pathway and do it well. More skills and countries come once the first one has proven results.
| Skill | Japan | Other countries |
|---|---|---|
| AgricultureCrop and horticulture work | First pathwayTraining planned from 2027Japanese to JFT-Basic (A2) plus the Agriculture Skill Assessment Test | Planned later |
| Healthcare and care workFuture skill track | Planned later | Planned later |
| More skillsBased on demand and results | Planned later | Planned later |
"Planned later" means exactly that. We will only open a new pathway once we have employer demand, a legal route and a training design we trust.
How it works
From a village school to a workplace abroad
Each stage has a clear entry and exit standard, so trainees, families and employers know where someone stands.
Community sourcing
We reach young adults (18+) through a long-standing network of community schools and livelihood programmes in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Online pre-programme
Several weeks of guided online learning before anyone joins residential training. It tests commitment without asking for a deposit.
6–8 weeksResidential training
Japanese language, agriculture skills, workplace culture and life skills, taught in Assam with daily practice.
4–6 monthsCertification
Trainees sit the official tests needed for the route, such as the Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese and the Agriculture Skill Assessment Test.
JFT-Basic A2 · JLPT N4Matching and visa
Certified trainees are matched with employers and supported through the visa process with licensed partners.
SSW-1 AgricultureSupport after arrival
We stay in touch after departure and work with the employer and support organisation if a worker needs help.
For employers and partners
What we bring to a partnership
Trusted access to communities
Families know the schools we work with. That trust brings motivated candidates and helps them stay the course.
Screened for commitment
The online pre-programme and attendance gates filter for people who will finish, before a residential seat is spent on them.
Trained to a test standard
Our curriculum is built around the official language and skill tests, and we track mock-test scores throughout training.
Ethical by design
Candidates do not arrive in debt to us. Workers who start without recruitment debt are more stable and easier to support.
Our commitments
The rules we hold ourselves to
These apply to every trainee, every partner and every batch.
Candidates never pay us
No fees and no deposits, to us or to our partners. Training and accommodation are free. Trainees pay only for their own food and official exam fees, directly to the caterer and test provider, and we tell them the full amount in writing before they apply.
No loans, no debt
We never arrange loans for candidates, and we never hold their documents.
We tell the truth about the odds
There is no job guarantee. We publish what each stage involves and how many people pass it, starting with real data from our first batch.
Our duty does not end at the airport
We stay in contact after departure and help if a worker faces problems at work, falls ill or wants to come home.
Community trust comes before growth
We would rather run a smaller programme than put the reputation of the schools and families we work with at risk.
